JHACH consists of a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked as a U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospital, and a new 225,000-square-foot Research and Education Building, which houses the Institute’s 40,000 square feet of research space, and a state-of-the-art simulation center for training.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE:

The Institute Director of CBDI, who will also serve as Chair of the Hawkins Family Endowed Professorship, is expected to be both an active clinician and a respected academic leader with a successful track record of program building in either the clinical or research domains. The successful candidate must be board certified in a pediatric subspecialty and have a focused interest in pediatric cancer or blood disorders. The Institute Director of CBDI will hold a faculty appointment with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine at the Associate Professor level or higher and will lead a top-notch team that includes pediatric hematologists and oncologists, and basic science researchers. CBDI consists of three Divisions: Blood and Marrow Transplant, Oncology, and Hematology. CBDI’s key programs include: CAR-T cell therapy, AYA Oncology, cancer survivorship clinic, leukemia/lymphoma clinic, solid tumor clinic, neuro-oncology and a neurocutaneous disorders clinic, comprehensive sickle cell disease program, a hemophilia treatment center, and a thrombosis program. We are seeking a visionary leader who will enhance and expand the clinical and academic reach of the institute.
