The Chief of Hematology/Medical Oncology at Holy Name Medical Center will report to Clinical Director of Oncology Services.  The Chief is responsible for collaborating with other Medical Center clinical chiefs to oversee comprehensive programs of quality and clinical safety activities across the hematology/medical oncology subspecialties in the inpatient and outpatient setting.  This focus of this role may include innovation and outcomes for patients. The Chief helps to set standards for hematology/medical oncology services and represents the institutional value proposition which includes outcomes as a function of cost.  The Chief is responsible for overseeing clinical analytics, setting quality goals and outcome measures, as well as pertinent tracking processes. This role facilitates the design, roll-out and implementation of clinical pathways, advises clinicians on quality best practices and promotes superior teamwork to achieve a high reliability department with minimized safety errors. The Chief of Hematology/Medical Oncology will lead in development of the clinical research program in hematology/medical oncology.  The Chief will be a member of the hematology/oncology clinical practice physician team with expected clinical focus 75% of the time and administrative focus 25% of the time.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will be fellowship trained, board certified, experienced medical oncologists possessing depth of knowledge of practice in the community hospital setting. Prior leadership experience is preferred.
