The Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is seeking a full-time tenure-track faculty member to become an integral part our Neuro-Oncology (Brain and Spinal Tumors) Division, with joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology at Mailman School of Public Health and with membership in the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC), CUIMC. This position will expand the research endeavors of the Neuro-Oncology division.  Main responsibilities include performance of independent epidemiological research on neuro-oncological outcomes and seeking funding for research.

This is an open-rank search. While highly qualified candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor are preferred, candidates at the Full Professor rank will also be considered. Minimum Degree Required

Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., Dr.P.H, or M.D.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates should have research experience and training in epidemiology, public health, and/or related disciplines, and a strong record of scholarly achievement, peer-reviewed publications, and teaching experience.
  • The ideal candidate is expected to have an established and successful record of extramurally-funded research, or to demonstrate potential to obtain extramural funding for their research.
  • Candidates should possess excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
