Over the last 100 years, City of Hope has built a legacy in Duarte of being a world leader in cancer research, treatment and prevention. In the last six years, the organization extended its reach beyond Duarte to include more than 31 community sites in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, steadily moving it to number one in Southern California for inpatient market share and pushing its capacity limits. City of Hope began a transformational journey to develop a second comprehensive cancer center site in Orange County that is a $1 billion state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer center that will eventually include a full-service outpatient building, ambulatory surgery center, and inpatient specialty hospital with a broad complement of services (diagnostic imaging and screenings, infusion, radiation therapy, surgical oncology, ambulatory surgery, supportive care and survivorship) and a research center offering Phase I-III trials. We plan to open the outpatient clinic in Fall 2022.
