Duke Cancer Network Opportunities Available

Duke Health and the Duke Cancer Network are recruiting additional Hematology-Oncology physicians for its affiliated community cancer centers in Lumberton, NC and Henderson, NC.  Interested physicians can be involved in community-based clinical research and enjoy academic link to Duke, tailored to his/her clinical oncology interests.  Call is consultative only, with no rounding responsibilities.  Lumberton is only a short drive to the pristine Carolina coast and family-friendly beaches.  Henderson is a 40 minute drive to Raleigh/Durham, offers lakeside living, and is an easy drive to many cultural amenities, attractions and universities in the Triangle area. 

Duke Health and the Duke Cancer Network are also seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join Duke’s team in developing and supporting a large network of affiliated community-based cancer programs and providers.  Ideal candidate would have a strong interest in collaborating with Duke subspecialists to develop cancer treatment protocols for local communities and in developing community-based clinical research.  Hired physician would be based in Raleigh/Durham, and willing to travel to two community Hematology/Oncology clinic locations in North Carolina to see patients.  A typical week would include four days in clinics seeing own panel of patients and one day “protected time” to focus on academic interests.  Call responsibilities are modest with no admitting responsibilities.
