Woodhull Medical Center, affiliated with NYU Langone Medical Center and the NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center is seeking a hematologist/Oncologist for its Cancer Center at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.  Woodhull is a member of the New York City Health + Hospitals, and its patient population encompasses a diverse community.

The Cancer Center provides multidisciplinary screening, diagnostic and treatment services as well as onsite palliative care.  A wide range of hematological and oncological diseases are seen yearly.  Access to clinical trials is available onsite in affiliation with the NYU School of Medicine faculty at the NYU Cancer Institute. 

The ideal candidate will have interest and expertise in working with underserved populations as well as research interest in screening and prevention.  S/he will work with the Medical Director and Chiefs of Service to further develop multidisciplinary programs, community outreach and education.  In addition to excellent clinical judgment and experience dealing with complex medical problems, it is essential that the candidate bring strong interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities to the position.  This candidate should be fellowship trained with 3+ years of experience.

The candidate will spend their time at Woodhull providing direct patient care and education to medical students and residents while working collaboratively.  Participation in conferences, including tumor board and Divisional Grand Rounds is expected.  Opportunities for research are available, particularly in the areas of community outreach, screenings, prevention, and health care disparities.
