The WVU Cancer Institute is actively recruiting candidates for Medical Director opportunities. You will join our rapidly expanding division, committed to providing the best in cancer care to the people in the states of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and surrounding regions.

Positions to join the WVU Cancer Institute as full faculty and to lead the division’s efforts at the following sites:

Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV

Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA

Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV

Camden Clark Medical Center serves the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding region through a 302-bed, not-for-profit, acute care facility. As the community’s hospital for more than a century, Camden Clark is the region’s primary source for advanced health care and wellness programs.  Parkersburg provides low crime rates and commuting times and offers a lower-than-average cost of living.  Combined with an excellent school system the area is a premier choice to enjoy a better overall quality of life. Because of its convenient location, Parkersburg is a short drive to multiple major metropolitan areas such as Columbus, OH.

Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA

Uniontown Hospital is a 145-bed community hospital located just 35 minutes from Morgantown.  As a community hospital, it has a long standing history of providing compassionate care to South Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.  Uniontown is a good base from which to explore the lush scenery and attractions of the Laurel Highlands. Outdoor recreation is abundant including: hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, skiing, and much more. 

Successful candidates must have a MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent).  Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship and be board certified in hematology and/or oncology at the time of appointment.

  • For Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV candidates must be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.  A minimum of five years of experience practicing hematology/oncology is required for this position.
  • For Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA candidates must be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania and West Virginia medical license.  A minimum of two years of experience practicing hematology/oncology is required for this position.

All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
