Allina Health is seeking a dynamic and enterprising physician executive to serve as the President of the Allina Health Cancer Institute (AHCI). The President will lead with a vibrant vision, energy and a demonstrated leadership capacity to advance the transformation of cancer care across the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. 

This physician executive will serve as the President of AHCI, which provides cancer services across the entirety of Allina Health, a $4.3 billion revenue integrated delivery health system with 11 hospitals across Minnesota and Wisconsin. AHCI was formed as the transformational vehicle to improve care for almost 18,000 people diagnosed with cancer. Built upon the outstanding foundation of Allina’s current cancer program, the Institute is rapidly expanding and is set for tremendous growth in 2021. AHCI is ranked first in the Twin Cities for oncologic surgical care and is the top breast cancer program, caring for 1,400 newly diagnosed patients per year. In total, Allina cares for over 50,000 unique cancer cases and 5,800 patients annually. 

As the system leader for cancer care delivery, the President will promote an agenda that advances clinical service and research while ensuring patients have access to comprehensive care. They will be charged with achieving Allina Health's vision in the sphere of cancer care, guided by the achievement of top decile outcomes, seamlessly coordinated care and a highly reliable patient experience. This physician leader will be responsible for the recruitment of cancer specialists to form disease-based teams, while cultivating strong alignment and working relationships in a pluralistic model with key providers of cancer care across the region to ensure excellence for patients and their families. The President will guide the strategic advancement and alignment of cancer care across Allina Health and be instrumental in shaping the overall clinical strategy of cancer care delivery across the region.

The President will be an individual who has a passion for growth, a bias for action, and a systems-orientation, who can drive cutting-edge research and the delivery of high quality care. Previous leadership experience with demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary cancer care in a complex, multi-facility operational environment is necessary. The President will have experience in clinical oncology services leadership with outcomes/quality measurement and clinical research expertise.
