The University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, is searching for a full-time Associate Professor or Professor to join an established group of nationally-known medical oncologists and serve as the Program Director of Supportive Oncology. The appointee will have a mix of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities primarily at our Hyde Park campus and at our network and affiliate sites. Other duties include clinical research and the teaching and supervision of trainees and students. We especially welcome applicants with prior experience in the development and growth of supportive oncology programs and/or with previous leadership experience over such programs. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be BC/BE in Hematology and/or Oncology.
