The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Tisch Cancer Institute are seeking an individual to lead the medical oncology prostate cancer clinical care and research program for the Mount Sinai Health System.

The applicant would join the faculty in the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and have responsibility for oversight of patient care, clinical research, training and education programs involving prostate cancer in medical oncology. The Division of Hematology/Oncology currently includes 120 faculty members, of which five focus exclusively on genitourinary oncology under the direction of Dr. Matthew Galsky. The applicant would also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team lead by Dr. Ashutosh (Ash) K. Tewari, Chairman of the Milton and Carroll Petrie Department of Urology and Director of the Center of Excellence in Prostate Cancer at Mount Sinai, and also with NIH-funded TCI investigators with expertise in prostate cancer mouse models, pathology, and pathogenesis.

Position Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology
  • Associate professor or professor with established track record of accomplishment including clinical research
  • Track record of current and/or prior NCI funding preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
  • A system work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance driven health system
