DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE

Dedicated to Discovery…Committed to Care

Clinical/Translational Investigator

The Center for Cancer Therapeutic Innovation (CCTI) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is seeking a full-time medical oncologist (MD or MD/PhD) for a clinical/translational investigator to be based primarily within the CCTI as a medical oncologist.  CCTI is an integrated clinical/translational research center that brings together specialized cancer expertise to develop and conduct innovative early phase clinical trials spanning multiple malignancies with the goal of accelerating the development of novel therapeutics into successful treatments tailored to individual patients.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the CCTI and be expected to write, lead, and see patients on early-phase, cross-malignancy trials as well as contribute to the broader development of translational and clinical research across malignancies within the center.  This candidate will be expected to build a translational cancer research program within the CCTI focusing on the interrogation of clinical data and biological specimens utilizing the state-of-the-art resources of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and affiliates.  Candidates may have a disease focus with the potential for joint appointment within a disease division as well.  The successful candidate will be encouraged to collaborate with basic science and other clinical investigators within disease-specific divisions to help grow the collaborative research within the center.

The position is based in both the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and the Department of Medicine at the BWH and includes collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and the Harvard Medical School. The chosen candidate will be teaching fellows and students in the inpatient setting.

The academic appointment will be at the Instructor/Assistant/Associate level at Harvard Medical School and determined by the applicant's credentials. Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions. Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD degree and should be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest by email along with their CV and the names and email addresses of three references to:
