UMass Memorial Health, the clinical partner of the UMass Chan Medical School is seeking adult Hematology/Oncology physicians with subspecialty expertise. The following subspecialties are of particular interest: Breast Oncology, Gastrointestinal Oncology, Genitourinary Oncology, Thoracic, Head & Neck, Hematologic Malignancies/BMT, and Benign Hematology. Ideal candidates will have an interest in clinical investigation in the designated subspecialty.
UMass Memorial Health Care is a tertiary care system serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region. The Hematology/Oncology Division is part of a growing Cancer Center of Excellence. Our ambulatory center integrates clinical care and clinical investigation.
The candidates we seek will provide cutting-edge clinical care in a multidisciplinary setting, perform novel clinical research in an outstanding scientific environment, and help to train the next generation of experts in the field. Excellent opportunities also exist for other academic pursuits. Academic appointments will be determined by experience and accomplishments.
Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient specialized, multidisciplinary care in Hematology/Oncology. Clinical sites include the University Campus in Worcester, as well as beautiful satellite campuses: The Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center at HealthAlliance Hospital (north of Worcester) and The Marlborough Hospital Cancer Center (to the east). Teaching and participation in clinical investigation are an integral part of our care environment. Candidates will be expected to participate in educational opportunities, including: conferences, the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship curriculum, and teaching of students & residents.
