Job Details

Arizona Oncology is looking to hire a full-time Radiation Oncologist for its Tucson location. This is a freestanding outpatient center on the campus of a major hospital system that currently has a full-time and part-time Radiation Oncologist. In addition to this office, the practice has four additional freestanding radiation therapy offices located in the Tucson area. We have a total of seven full time practicing Radiation Oncologists. Treatments include 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and HDR brachytherapy with a focus on gynecologic brachytherapy. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible (becoming board certified within an allotted time frame). We prefer experience or interest in HDR brachytherapy for gynecologic oncology. Equipment includes Varian IX with budgeted replacement with a new Varian machine next year. The office has a GE wide bore CT scanner and a dedicated HDR suite. EMR is Aria and treatment planning system is Eclipse.

Tucson is one of the sunniest cites in the United States, with affordable living, stunning national parks and forests, ample outdoor activities, and distinctive culture and cuisine. Arizona Oncology, a member of the US Oncology Network, is one of the largest cancer care organizations in the state of Arizona with locations in Prescott Valley, Flagstaff, Phoenix and Tucson. The practice includes radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, colorectal surgeons, breast surgeons, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
