Job Details

Texas Oncology is looking for a dedicated breast medical oncologist for its busy comprehensive practice in The Woodlands, Texas. This person would be joining a team of physicians that includes three hematologist/oncologists, a radiation oncologist, two gynecologic oncologists and three fellowship-trained breast surgeons in a new cancer center conveniently located in the community's medical district. Under the leadership of Dr. Paula Ryan and three fellowship trained breast surgeons, the practice has developed a thriving breast cancer practice coupled with a strong clinical breast research program focused on delivering a comprehensive approach to the treatment of breast cancer that includes genetic risk assessment, dedicated tumor board with board-certified breast radiologists, and a surgical team with expertise in risk reducing surgeries. While this practice proudly serves the community's needs in general oncology, it has developed an unparalleled team in the focus of women's cancer. As a statewide organization, Texas Oncology is the largest privately held provider of cancer care in Texas and is also a member of The US Oncology Network, the largest network of community-based cancer care practices in the United States.

The Woodlands is a picturesque master planned community 30 miles north of Houston, Texas, and is home to more than 120,000 residents. Its many features include a riverwalk that runs through the business district and is surrounded by high end shops, hotels, restaurants, The Woodlands Mall, and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion outdoor amphitheater. The Woodlands has outstanding public and private school options, jogging trails, lakes and is host to year-round events, including the yearly Texas Ironman competition. It was most recently awarded the "best city to live in America" by Niche.

This is an ideal position for a recent graduate of a fellowship program that included a significant exposure to breast oncology. Texas Oncology offers a competitive, guaranteed salary and benefits along with a realistic track to partnership. Texas Oncology is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
