The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program in New York, NY is accepting applications for the training start date of July 2022.

Program Information

The Neuro-Oncology fellowship is designed to train an individual in the neurological, medical and oncologic management of patients with primary brain tumors, peripheral nervous system neoplasms and metastatic disease to the nervous system, and any other disorders or complications affecting the nervous system that result directly or indirectly from cancer or from related treatment. It is a one year fellowship following completion of residency in Neurology and attained qualifications to sit for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology examination.

The fellow must have completed USMLE I, II, III. The fellowship will have an optional 2nd year, which will be focused on clinical or laboratory research. If the applicant is a foreign medical graduate, he or she will need a valid ECFMG certificate. Graduates who have completed training in Medical Oncology are allowed to apply, as would applicants from other specialties on a case by case basis.  It is expected that the fellow will acquire a full experience and knowledge of advanced principles of management of primary nervous system tumors in adult and pediatric neuro-oncology patients, treatment of metastatic disease to the nervous system, systemic cancer related disorders and interdisciplinary management of patients.

• 3 letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the applicant’s most current program director
• Current and updated CV
• Personal Statement, limited to one (1) page
