Mount Auburn Hospital of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Hematologist/Oncologist to serve as Chief of the Division of Oncology/Hematology. The ideal candidate for the role is an accomplished clinician and organizational leader who is respected for his/her clinical, educational and administrative skills.  Candidates should be Board certified in both Hematology and Oncology and must be eligible for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. Expertise in solid tumor malignancies, particularly breast, is preferred.

The Oncology/Hematology Division’s clinical services include a busy outpatient practice, an inpatient consulting service and a comprehensive chemotherapy/infusion space. The division consists of 5 medical oncologists, oncology Nurse Practitioners, a robust Genetics program along with a full complement of oncology nurses both in the office and in the infusion clinic. Mount Auburn Hospital has a full range of ancillary services, including a state of the art Radiation Oncology department, Interventional Radiology, Oncologic Surgery, Hoffman Breast Center for Breast Cancer Care, Wellness Programming, and several Oncology Multidisciplinary Programs for breast, GI, lung, and GU malignancies. In addition, the candidate would have a potential opportunity to oversee the Oncology Division at Cambridge Health Alliance, and participate in the provision and coordination of clinical services.

The Division, and the Division Chief, play a critical role in the education of medical students and residents at both sites.  As part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, Mount Auburn Hospital participates in a comprehensive research program and has access to advanced oncologic services such as BMT and CAR-T.

The ideal candidate for the next Division Chief is an established leader, dedicated to the clinical practice of Oncology and has exceptional teaching skills. Candidates must be eligible for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School.
