Medical Director, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute – Merrimack Valley

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking a board-certified Medical Director to join and lead our Dana-Farber Merrimack Valley practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of clinical practice in medical oncology and hematology.  The candidate should be personable, collegial, demonstrate leadership abilities and effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. She or he will join a sophisticated practice of medical oncologists and advanced practice providers delivering cutting edge cancer care at DFCI Merrimack Valley working in close collaboration with disease centers at DFCI Longwood, with opportunities to foster disease-specific interests within general hematology/oncology practice.

The Medical Director will supervise all physicians within the practice and ensure compliance with DFCI satellite operational and institute policies. She or he will be responsible for a number of leadership activities and work collaboratively with the executive teams and nurse and operations leaders at the practice.  The Medical Director will report to DFCI Network Leadership. In addition, she or he will see outpatients 6 sessions per week and participate in inpatient call coverage.  

Our Merrimack Valley satellite, which opened in January 2020, is a new state-of-the-art facility located off of 93 North in Methuen, MA approximately 30 minutes from Boston by car.
