$100,000 sign-on/start bonus for Benign Hematology

University of Michigan Health-West (UMHW) is seeking a board eligible/board certified Hematology provider to join a well-established and expanding oncology program.  The desired candidate will participate in patient care, teaching, and research and is expected to work collaboratively and develop and participate in clinical trials. UMHW is involved in patient care and research for adult patients with inherited blood disorders including sickle cell disease, hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, and thrombosis. UMHW has a well-funded infrastructure, which includes a clinical care team and a clinical research program, as well as an in-house laboratory that specializes in molecular diagnostics of blood disorders, including hemoglobinopathies, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and bleeding disorders. This role is 80% clinical, 20% admin.

The recent agreement to develop The Cancer Network of West Michigan, a joint venture between Mercy Health and University of Michigan Health-West, leverages the combined resources and capabilities of the two West Michigan health systems and Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of the University of Michigan.  The Cancer Network of West Michigan encompasses three West Michigan campuses including: University of Michigan Health-West located in Wyoming (greater Grand Rapids), Mercy Saint Mary’s located in Grand Rapids and Mercy Muskegon located in Muskegon.
