We are looking for an experienced Radiation Oncology medical director to join and lead a strong and well-established cancer program in the Pacific Northwest, MultiCare Regional Cancer Center (MRCC). This is a full-time medical director generalist position primarily located at our main cancer center within Tacoma General Hospital with satellite coverage at our center in Gig Harbor 1-2 half days per week. MRCC is a multi-disciplinary cancer center with a comprehensive oncology team including 3 radiation oncologists, 13 medical oncologists, 2 breast surgeons, 2 gynecologic oncologists, and 12 advanced practice providers. Accreditations include Apex, CoC and NAPBC with NAPRC accreditation in process. Radiation Oncology practice boasts a full range of technological services including Varian systems with one TrueBeam and one Varian iX in Tacoma, Varian iX machines in Gig Harbor and Auburn, CyberKnife Radiosurgery system and HDR brachytherapy in Tacoma. A new Siemens CT Scanner to include 4D capabilities. Software platforms include Aria 15, Identify, RapidPlan and MIM.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year experience in administrative management of a radiation oncology department
  • Skilled in modern radiation oncology practice - 3D, VMAT/IMRT, SRS/SRT/SBRT, hypofractionation, brachytherapy
  • Interested in building – increasing volumes, developing multi-disciplinary programs, new techniques/modalities, enrolling on clinical trials
  • Kind and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Board certified in radiation oncology
  • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification by the American Heart Association by the time of employment
