The University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) is seeking candidates for a staff position in the Division of Hematology, Department of Medicine.  This faculty position reports to Mikkael Sekeres, M.D., M.S., Chief of the Division of Hematology, and will have clinical responsibilities at network sites in Broward or Miami-Dade counties to support the expansion of the network campuses throughout South Florida. These positions are 100% clinical and will provide care focused on malignant and benign hematology. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, and education programs.

The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is South Florida’s only NCI-designated Cancer Center and a proud member of the Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers. Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology and be able to obtain a Florida Medical License.  There is particular interest in candidates who are highly collaborative, with a track record of excellence in patient care, and enrollment of patients into clinical trials. 

Sylvester offers the only Phase 1 clinical trials program in South Florida, providing access to some of the newest investigational therapies. The Division of Hematology currently has 35 full time faculty, with strong clinical and academic activities, and sponsors a fully ACGME-approved fellowship training program in Hematology.
