There are opportunities for academic medical oncologists with a subspecialty focus on the solid tumor areas of breast cancer, GI malignancies, or thoracic/head and neck oncology at George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University. These are clinical positions, with support for clinical research, along with clinical teaching of students, house staff, and our fellows. The non-tenure-track appointments will be made at a rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience. The position entails a mix of outpatient care and staffing of an inpatient consultative hematology service with a Hematology and Oncology Fellow.

The Division of Hematology/Oncology of the Department of Medicine is a key component of the Oncology Service line within the George Washington Cancer Center (GWCC). The GWCC brings together the resources of the University, the GW Medical Faculty Associates, and the GW University Hospital to expand current research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, D.C. area.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine and Hematology and/or Medical Oncology at the time of appointment and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia. Experience and interest in treating non-malignant hematologic conditions; and teaching students, residents, and fellows are required.

Application Procedure: To be considered, please complete an online faculty application at http://www.gwu.jobs/postings/93004 and upload a curriculum vitae and cover letter. Review of applications will begin on June 6, 2022, and will continue until the positions are filled. Only complete applications will be considered. Employment offers are contingent on the satisfactory outcome of a standard background screening.
