Maryland Oncology Hematology is looking to hire a BE/BC Radiation Oncologist for their site in Silver Spring, Maryland. 2024 Residents are encouraged to apply. This physician will be joining an existing Radiation Oncologist in the largest privately held cancer practice in the state of Maryland. MOH-Silver Spring is also served by 7 Hematologist/Oncologists, 1 Breast Surgeon and 2 Gynecologic Oncologists. This position is open due to increased patient volumes. The radiation center is currently equipped with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, Varian Bravos Afterloader, Varian IDENTIFY system and GE CT Simulator and there are plans in the works to add an additional linear accelerator sometime in the next 12 months. They have the capability to treat with IMRT, SRS, SBRT, DIBH, surface guidance, and HDR Brachytherapy.
MOH enjoys onsite imaging with an CT scanner and the PET-CT is located in the hospital campus conveniently within the same site. The practice is supported by onsite dosimetry, physics, radiation therapists and nursing. This is an employed position that has the benefit of being a part of a private community practice whose sole business is that of delivering cutting edge cancer care.
