IHA and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor have an excellent full time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to join a community practice with regional clinics located in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area.

This is a state-of-the-art practice with several multi-disciplinary clinics offering the opportunity for subspecialty focus. Surgical subspecialty support includes fellowship-trained thoracic, breast, colorectal, and hepatobiliary surgeons. Radiation services include IMRT, IGRT, and Cyberknife. Pathology support includes fellowship-trained molecular pathologists and hematopathologists as well as a closely integrated regional reference lab.  The practice has excellent support with Nurse and Financial Navigators, Care Managers, Social Work, and Genetics.

The program has a GME supported Hematology Oncology Fellowship program with two fellows per year. In addition, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs and affiliations with nearby medical schools offer ample opportunities for teaching.

The program leads the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium (MCRC-NCORP). The Michigan Cancer Research Consortium NCORP (MCRC-NCORP) is an exemplary, comprehensive clinical trial program that consists of medical centers that have met the highest standards of excellence in conducting cancer clinical trials. The program consists of thirteen hospitals in Michigan, and several out of state hospitals that collaboratively enroll hundreds of patients on clinical trials each year. MCRC-NCORP consists of over 100 medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other specialists who work hard to deliver exceptional cancer care. The MCRC-NCORP is one of 46 research programs established by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Call coverage for this opportunity is shared equally, currently 1 in 10 with eligible group members. Inpatient rounding is rotated one week at a time and is supported by a full time inpatient nurse practitioner. Some sites have same day inpatient coverage. All inpatients are admitted to a hospitalist or surgical service and the rounding hematologist/oncologist serves as a consultant.

New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply. This opportunity is unable to sponsor visa candidates at this time.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right physician to be part of a well-established Hematology/Oncology group.
