ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR for MOLECULAR GENETIC PATHOLOGY

(University Medical Line or Clinician Educator Line)

The Stanford Department of Pathology seeks an academic pathologist with focus in molecular genetic pathology. In addition to diagnostic and teaching responsibilities in molecular genetic pathology, the candidate also may contribute to investigative pathology or other areas within surgical pathology or clinical pathology.

The major criteria for appointment in the University Medical Line are excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criterion for appointment of Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administration and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Clinical Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, be board certified or eligible in Molecular Genetic Pathology, hold an MD or MD/PhD, and hold or acquire a license to practice medicine in the State of California.
