Position Summary
This position will be in the Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The individual in this position will be expected to manage patients with leukemia specifically chronic lymphocytic leukemia. They will also be expected to manage individuals with monoclonal B cell lymphocytosis and occasionally low-grade lymphomas. This individual will have a robust clinical research program, which would include investigator initiated clinical trials, clinical trials working with pharmaceutical company partners and cooperative group trials. Additionally, this individual could have a robust translational oncology program that focused on a better understanding of the biology of chronic lymphocytic leukemia or MBCL or biomarkers of disease severity for those diseases. 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD, MD/PhD, DO or MBBS degrees. All individuals will have completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology and be board eligible/certified in hematology and/or oncology.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
The preferred individual will have at least three years of experience managing patients with CLL, MBL, or small cell lymphoma and a history of leading clinical research studies for this patient population. They will have a history of working collaboratively in an academic medical setting and mentoring hematology/oncology trainees.
