The Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma is recruiting for a faculty member with active clinical research interests related to Lymphoma. Physicians with clinical expertise in both Lymphoma and Myeloma and strong clinical and/or translational research interests in Lymphoma are encouraged to apply. Faculty rank and tenure status will be consistent with experience as referenced in the qualifications below. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing clinical and translational research with world-class physician scientists within The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The program is comprised of dynamic, interdisciplinary, leading clinicians and researchers dedicated to improving prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of Lymphoma.  Candidates with an interest in both lymphoma and plasma cell dyscrasias are encouraged to apply as well.  Based in part on their level of experience, the selected candidate would have the opportunity to assist with mentoring junior faculty, fellows, and other trainees, assume some administrative duties, and contribute to the overall mission of the Department and the greater Institution. The successful candidate will also have a background that demonstrates his/her ability to work synergistically with both laboratory based and clinical faculty. Applicants should possess at least 2 years of post-degree experience or 5 years of experience with a post-clinical degree, education of MD or MD/PhD or equivalent, board certified in Hematology, Medical Oncology, or Internal Medicine, and ability to obtain a medical license to practice in the State of Texas. Applicants should possess excellent writing and communication skills as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, presentation skills for professional meetings, and the ability to obtain extramural funding for clinical or translational research.
