The UCI Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at University of California, Irvine and UCI Health are recruiting for Clinical Investigators within various sub-disciplines (see below). UCI is building a new 575,000 sq. ft. Irvine Newport Medical Campus, which will double the outpatient clinical footprint for cancer. This site will include a five story Chao Family Ambulatory Cancer Center. The outpatient facilities will come online in late 2023 and the 144-bed specialty hospital in late 2025.

UC Irvine is home to one of 53 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers and one of only 23 institutions also holding a Clinical Translational Science Award. Powered by all of the Schools within the University of California, Irvine, UCI Health is home to the only university-based academic Hematology Oncology practice in Orange County.

Position Attributes:

  • Clinical Investigator positions: clinical:scholarly effort 60:40 Limited inpatient consult attending duties, typically 2 to 4 weeks annually. General Qualifications:

  • M.D./D.O./M.D., Ph.D. Advanced fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology Board-certified or eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology Must have or be eligible to obtain California Medical Licensure and DEA Certificate
