Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care is seeking an academically oriented BC/BE Medical Oncologist with a career interest in breast and/or gynecologic cancer.

Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care provides unique clinical programs for our patients, as well as educational and research opportunities for our staff. We have QOPI certification and accreditation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Valley’s new state-of-the-art hospital, directly across from our cancer center, is scheduled to open in late 2023.
Currently, two medical oncologists work closely with 2 breast surgeons, 2 gynecologic oncologists, dedicated radiation oncologists and advanced practice providers to offer comprehensive care to patients with breast or gynecologic cancer. Our NAPBC-accredited Breast Center offers state-of-the-art breast imaging, lay and nurse navigators, a dietician/health coach, and an innovative survivorship program.
An on-site team provides support for our active research program in both diseases, including investigator-initiated clinical trials in addition to NCTN and industry-sponsored research. Protected time is provided for ongoing trials and intramural funding is available for investigators to develop innovative research programs. Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care is the proud recent recipient of a grant to fund initiatives to increase patients’ access to clinical trials and other opportunities for underrepresented patient groups.
The successful applicant with share in an anticipated 1 in 8 hematology/oncology call schedule. Requests for flexible work schedules will be considered. Teaching opportunities will be available in 2024 when Valley opens its own Internal Medicine Residency. Appointment to the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience and academic potential is anticipated.
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
- Board certified or eligible in Medical Oncology. Certification or eligibility in Hematology is desirable.
- NJ State Medical license, DEA, and CDS will be required.
