The Mayo Clinic Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Medical Oncologist with expertise in gastrointestinal cancer. The ideal candidate will have translational research experience and clinical expertise in gastrointestinal cancers. Candidates will be expected to provide exceptional patient care in a multidisciplinary setting, contribute to translational gastrointestinal cancer research, and participate in educational initiatives.

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, one of 3 locations of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, has an established and growing physician practice with a national and international patient base. We have an outstanding GI oncology team with extraordinary surgical oncology, GI, radiology, and liver transplant teams, in addition to basic scientists dedicated to cancer research.  

Post training experience in gastrointestinal cancers is preferred. Incoming academic rank would be commensurate with experience.

There are approximately 740 full time faculty physicians and 260 residents and fellows in practice at this location. The salary and benefits package is commensurate with the candidate’s training and experience.

  Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology/Oncology is required. Must be eligible for state of Florida licensure. Jacksonville is the largest city in area in the continental United States.
