Benefis Health System has exciting new Oncology practice opportunities for 2023 and 2024!  We have a very established regional cancer institute located in Great Falls MT and we will be expanding services into a brand-new multispecialty facility in Helena MT (1 hour south) that will include an oncology infusion suite early 2024.  Each community has unique practices, and we are happy to discuss either opportunity. Our main Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute provides a truly progressive approach to preventing and diagnosing cancer and is ACOS and NAPBC certified (since 1981) with an active multidisciplinary tumor board with a team of expert medical professionals.

Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute -Great Falls:

  • Physician focused cancer care with multidisciplinary teams including: 3 medical oncologists, 2 radiation oncologists, 2 oncology support APPs, a dosimetrist, a physicist, therapists, nursing, 2 clinical supervisors, nurse navigators, social workers, genetic counseling, clinical research, cancer registry, financial advocacy and prior authorization teams
  • 54,000 square foot cancer treatment facility complete with an indoor healing atrium, a lazy river and soothing waterfall, massive fireplace, meditation room and a brand-new teaching kitchen.
  • Onsite, lab, pharmacy, PET CT, CT and x-ray
  • Dedicated housing facility for our patients and their caregivers to stay at no cost - some patients drive 5-7 hours to receive care at our facility due to our reputation

Additional Details:

  • 4,000 square feet infusion center with 20 chemo chairs and semi-private and private infusion rooms to assure the highest patient experience possible (currently expanding to 36 chairs)
  • Onsite infusion supervising nurse, oncology certified pharmacy, clinical research and clinical trial departments, and great support staff 
  • Well-attended multidisciplinary tumor board, meeting twice a week
  • Procedure rooms capable of performing bone marrow procedures
  • Main hospital can be accessed from the cancer center through an indoor tunnel connection for easy access to consults, rounding or inpatient transfers
  • Opportunity for telehealth visits, outreach and cancer events in the community
  • Friendly, appreciative patient population serving a catchment population of 275,000 in Northcentral Montana

The Helena location will have:

  • Brand-new multi-specialty building with beautiful office and clinic spaces, radiology, lab, pharmacy, a functional ASC and procedure rooms and 16 infusion chairs.
  • Outreach space for current Great Falls physicians to offer care, mentorship and support.
  • Multidisciplinary tumor board, meeting twice a week (virtual attendance)
  • Opportunity for telehealth visits, outreach and cancer events in the community
