Our transplant program performs over 100 transplants (2/3 autologous + 1/3 allogeneic) every year with significant proportion of alloHCT being matched related and unrelated as well as haploidentical allogeneic SCT. Umbilical cord blood transplantation is one of the donor types that are offered to patients as well. The program is growing rapidly and is an important part of total prioritized cancer care growth at Rush University. The program is fully accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), and is a member of the Radiation Injury Treatment Network (RITN). This recruitment is part of a strategic growth initiative under new leadership in a multidisciplinary advanced program with state-of-the-art technology, outstanding faculty and innovative research in clinical trials. This particular position will have a significant role focused on the development of cellular therapy, including CART cell therapy.

Our new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center facility in Chicago will serve as a hub for services throughout our health system. Our core programs are supported by multi-disciplinary teams from medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, research and bioinformatics, clinical operations, and dedicated clinical and support staff, including patient navigators. This structure allows specialists to more easily consult and see patients based on tumor type or molecular and genomic signatures, combining our outstanding multidisciplinary approach with a data infrastructure that supports this patient-centered care. This integration enables us to make a greater commitment to research, dramatically scaling the effectiveness of clinical trials, and enabling translational research that moves bench to bedside, and bedside to bench.
