The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute expanded in December, 2014, to become the 3rd largest cancer hospital in the U.S.  The extraordinary success of this new 398 bed state-of-the-art hospital has resulted in remarkable clinical growth and has created several opportunities for medical oncologists across the spectrum of solid tumor subspecialties. The Ohio State University is currently seeking an oncology physician at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor rank for a variety of roles in the areas of basic and translational research, education, and inpatient and outpatient care.  High priority will be given to medical oncologists who desire to focus their research and patient care in Neuroendocrine Tumors and Endocrine-related cancers.

We also have other openings in the sub-specialties of Head & Neck, Breast, GI, Thoracic, and GU.

Required:  Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible or certified in Medical Oncology, as well as able to meet medical licensure requirements in Ohio.

OSU has one of the nation’s NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers (CCC) and currently has 46 faculty members in the DHO that provide care in The James Cancer Hospital, one of 10 free-standing cancer hospitals in the country. The Division of Hematology and Oncology (DHO) and CCC have initiated disease-specific programs utilizing combined modality management of cancer patients. The OSU CCC participates in CALGB, RTOG and NSABP cooperative groups, and has an active Experimental Therapeutics Program that includes a cancer-specific phase I unit in the James Cancer Hospital, a Phase I U01 grant, and a Phase II contract.
