Lancaster General Health Physicians/Penn Medicine Hematology & Oncology is seeking 2 BC/BE hematologist oncologists to join our 11-physician medical oncology/hematology group in Lancaster, PA.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Being part of Penn Medicine creates additional cross-system research and growth opportunities for interested individuals. A routine workweek is four full clinical days with evening, weekend and holiday call coverage shared among all the medical oncologists.

 

As a member of CMS Oncology Care Model, our cancer program is an integrated part of Penn Medicine Cancer Service Line, sharing site-specific oncology disease teams.  Our physicians are part of a high-functioning multidisciplinary care team that includes advanced practice providers, nurse navigators, social workers, physical therapists, dietitians, chaplains, counselors, clinical research team and more.

 

Our physicians practice in a single location, Penn Medicine’s Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, a 90,000 square foot state-of-the-art cancer center that provides medical, surgical, radiation, and palliative oncology (30 physicians) under one roof and includes 60 infusion chairs, 53 examination rooms, 4 linear accelerators, brachytherapy, the nation's first CyberKnife M6, and an integrated Proton Therapy Center. Minimum Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), issued by the Accreditation Council on Medical Education. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Board eligible. Current Medical licensure issued by PA State Board of Medicine or the PA State Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Successful completion of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship. 3 years clinical patient care experience as a specialist preferred (fellowship included). A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program Spanish Language skills would be most welcome
