Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a Nurse Practitioner, Oncology to serve at Tuba City Specialty Care Center. TCRHCC hosts the only cancer center on the Navajo Nation, which was inaugurated in 2019. The Center provides comprehensive oncology and hematology services to the Navajo Nation Tribe, Hopi Tribe and San Juan Southern Paiute service area. Candidates should be competent in the latest evidence-based protocols in the treatment of cancer, possess excellent clinical skills, and a dedication to providing quality, culturally sensitive, and compassionate patient centered care.
Working alongside an Oncologist and practice manager, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides medical care to patients within a detailed scope of practice. The scope of practice identifies the range of clinical modalities and protocols agreed upon between the NP and collaborative physician.
This position contributes to the overall operations of the Oncology Services program and shares responsibility with the Oncologist for the day-to-day patient care management, safety, and experience of patients with cancer and hematologic diseases undergoing chemotherapy and infusion therapy. Reports to Hematologist/Oncologist, who in turn collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer and the Chief Medical Officer on all practice and care issues.
