About the Program
Dignity Health - Cancer Institute (DHCI) at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is actively seeking full-time, board certified/board eligible Hematologists/Medical Oncologists, a Surgical Oncologist, and a Urologic Oncologist to join our multispecialty teams.
At DHCI we achieve excellence in oncologic care through disease focused multispecialty teams including medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology. Regularly scheduled disease-specific tumor boards and multidisciplinary clinics for comprehensive oncologic evaluations are available. The core clinical teams are also widely supported by Palliative Care, Genetic Counseling, and Nutritional and Social Work services. Our 24-chair infusion center and inpatient hospitalist-led Oncology Consult teams are supported by APPs.
Academic career growth is required and encouraged. CommonSpirit Research Institute at DHCI is an NCI Community Oncology Research Program site with a full portfolio of NCI and additional growing Industry affiliated clinical trials. In addition, St. Joseph's is the clinical site for the new on-campus Creighton University School of Medicine at St. Joseph's with opportunities for academic involvement and appointments.

The successful candidate:
- Fellowship-trained and Board Certified Has excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Focuses on quality and standards of care
- Works collaboratively with other specialties Is dedicated to delivering high quality, compassionate care and access to the patients of Phoenix and rural Arizona
- Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Arizona State medical licensure
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- Willing to abide by and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of CommonSpirit Health
Compensation:
The posted compensation range of $375,000 - $600,000 is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for these particular jobs, based on the circumstances at the time of posting, specialty, and experience. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
