Associate Professor/Professor of Medicine
Hematology - Oncology
Stony Brook University School of Medicine of the State University of New York invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the division of Hematology/Oncology.
The division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine and the Stony Brook University Cancer Center in Stony Brook, NY are seeking physicians to participate in a clinical faculty practice and lead the development of clinical and translational research programs in Gastro Intestinal Oncology, Genitourinary Oncology and Sarcoma or Melanoma oncology. Stony Brook is located in suburban Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, offering excellent schools and wonderful recreational activities, including access to beaches, boating and the cultural wealth of New York City. The level of appointment will be dependent on credentials and experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MD or equivalent, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. Experience in both autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation as well as a laboratory interest in stem cell biology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interest in pursuing research in lymphoma, leukemia, and bone marrow transplantation with experience in teaching medical student, residents and fellows.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: The Associate Professor/Professor of Medicine will participate in a clinical faculty practice and will also pursue laboratory research in stem cell biology and participate in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
