Nuvance Health’s Cancer Institute is seeking to hire academically oriented Hematologists (both classical and malignant hematology) and Hematologists/Oncologists at multiple sites across our growing system in western Connecticut and southeastern New York. Nuvance Health is comprised of 7 hospitals/cancer centers and diagnoses approximately 4600 new cancer cases each year.  Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we are expanding our clinical trial portfolio, aligning with an academic partner, and positioning ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region. Our System Chair of the Cancer Institute will be attending the upcoming ASCO meeting in June and will be available to meet with interested candidates.

We have opportunities in the following locations:

  • Dutchess County, NY (Hematologist, GI oncology)
  • Dutchess and Ulster Counties, NY (General)
  • Fairfield County, CT (Hematologist)
  • System roles, based in NY or CT (Neuro-oncology, Hematology Leadership)

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, generous allowances for CMEs and dues expenses, and relocation.

Nuvance Health serves 1.5 million residents across New York and Connecticut and includes more than 2,600 aligned physicians, 12,000 employees, seven hospitals (Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Northern Dutchess Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, Sharon Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center), a large network of primary care and specialty practices and multiple affiliated organizations.

Our system spans suburban Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut as well as the Hudson Valley region of New York State, about one hour outside of New York City. As part of the greater New York metropolitan area, our region enjoys both proximity to the city as well as access to a wide variety of venues for four season outdoor and indoor recreational activities. From the coast of the Long Island Sound to the picturesque views lining the Hudson River, the area covers a large geographic footprint with a variety of community settings. Highly rated public and private schools and universities are throughout the region. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible.

We are a Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and therefore eligible employees may qualify for forgiveness of certain federal student loans under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
