Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor
The Center for Early Detection and Interception – Solid Tumor (CEDI) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is seeking a full-time medical oncologist (MD or MD/PhD) for a clinical position to be based within CEDI and a solid tumor oncology Division commensurate with their interest and expertise. CEDI is an integrated clinical and research center that brings together specialized cancer expertise with the aim to stop cancer before it starts, by leveraging our expertise to monitor patients who are at an elevated risk for developing cancer.
The position is based in both the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and the Department of Medicine at the BWH and includes collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School.
The successful candidate will participate in a very active clinical practice that is fully integrated within a large and growing clinical and translational research program and has interest, expertise, and experience in the conduct of clinical trials, outcomes, or translational research. The successful candidate will engage in robust clinical service, clinical investigation and teaching medical students, house staff, and oncology fellows in the outpatient clinic and inpatient settings. Clinical time will include oncology clinics for cancer treatment as well as CEDI clinics devoted to the care of patients at elevated risk of cancer with the goal on intercepting cancer or detecting it early. Experience clinically and/or academically in areas relating to cancer risk, early detection or interventions aimed at decreasing cancer incidence an asset. Academic rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and academic achievements.
Applicants should have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and should have or be eligible for subspecialty certification in medical oncology.
