South County Hospital is seeking a Medical Director for its Division of Hematology and Oncology. The Medical Director is responsible for the overall quality and patient experience for all patients cared for within the Department.  The Medical Director will work in partnership with the system CMO to recruit and retain exceptional quality provider talent for the department.  The Medical Director will work in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team and Department Leadership to set strategic goals, set operating and capital budgets and drive continuous process improvement for the Department.

South County Health is a CoC accredited Cancer Center and operates a radiation oncology program on site.

Minimum Qualifications:

Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology

A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience post fellowship

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven track record (formal or informal) of leading with influence to impact behaviors and results

Preferred:

Previous formal leadership experience

Certificate or Master’s Degree in leadership, health administration or business administration
