Oncology Opportunity in Nags Head, North Carolina

ECU Health Cancer Care in partnership with Outer Banks Health Cowell Cancer Center, located in Nags Head, NC are seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncology fellowship-trained Physician to join their cancer program.

This job allows for a $100,000 sign on with hire.

Experienced applicants are preferred. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.

· Join a coastal oncology practice which includes our Hematology Oncologist, Radiation Oncology medical director, 2 oncology advanced practice providers, 3 oncology certified nurses, Nurse Director, Assistant Nurse manager, and breast health certified nurse navigator

· New state of the art cancer center located 2 blocks from the beach that opened in January 2024 with 10 infusion spaces, 4 exam rooms, radiation therapy Vital Beam linear accelerator, large boardroom for community and team meetings, image renewal services, nurse navigation, and healing gardens

· 100% outpatient with shared after-hours/weekend phone call only

· No inpatient consult service

· Strong referral base with over 30 providers

· Only one of six community hospitals out of more than 1,300 nationwide to have an accredited cancer program from the ACoS Commission on Cancer

· NAPBC Breast Accreditation Breast Center

· ACRO accredited Radiation Therapy Center

· Hospital services available for general surgery, radiology, and pathology needs

· Integrative Medicine provider for consultation and referral

· Multidisciplinary cancer committee structure with monthly tumor boards and bi-monthly breast tumor boards

· Support from the ECU Health Cancer Center multidisciplinary team in Greenville, NC

The Outer Banks Hospital (OBH) is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. The hospital's 21-bed emergency department serves approximately 23,100 patients each year.
